Title: Reverse lights not very bright.
Post by: HandyAndy on August 14, 2014, 09:49:51 pm
While reversing up the drive tother night I caught the drivers door mirror on the gate by the house. No damage on the mirror but I noticed that the light given off by the white reversing lights was very poor. In comparison, the lights on the back of my Chevy captiva were much better.

Any ideas or suggestions welcomed. I did think about swapping them for a higher wattage if available?

I tried a super bright LED reverse light bulb which helped. Was about a tenner off eBay

I've got to admit, mine doesn't seem as bright any more. I might try a different one

Cheers chaps, am I correct in thinking there is only one reverse light on the back end? I thought there to be two?

There's only one. Unless you did away with your fog and got a LHD reverse light, but no fog is illegal

Cheers Mike. No, I'm not running with two lights, all standard. I must have assumed it had 2 behind. I'll look out the led bulbs on eBay.  :happy2:
