Title: ED30 style car mats
Post by: Leonpettit on August 15, 2014, 07:42:55 pm
Can anyone recommend a seller who makes car mats in the ED30 style (black mat with red outer trim)?

Need some for my ED30 but know they're not available from VW anymore.

Cheers  :happy2:

I'd still need to source some rears, but pm how much you're after and  we can go from there.  :drinking:

eBay for cheap copies. I keep my OEM Eddy set stored away for safety!

I buy a new set each year from eBay and replace them at winter time with the rubber ones and chuck the cheap copies, no brainer for eBay ones at £20. OEM front and rear Edition30 mats are £160+ from VW. Don't forget there are 2 different fixings, round and oval.  Round from 2007/57 plate IIRC.

My cheap copies.....

Just ask the seller to leave off the heal pad for the OEM look..

Nice one! Thats what I was looking for, just hated that heel pad!

The rubber ones will be going in shortly anyway, so these will do for now!

^^^^ One of my previous ones had a heal pad and it was just stitched on, remove the stitching from the rear of the mat with a scalpel (or similarly sharp knife) and et voila job done.

Just a thought.

Nice one. Did it leave a rectangular mark or was it all ok?

Bit of water on any flatened part and the pile will come back up in its own time. Was still a slight mark but nothing I noticed.
