Hello All,
Me and the missus have just purchased a Mk6 GTI, and I wanted to say a big hello and thanks to everyone who posts with all the get detailed information, made selecting a new ride much simpler after returning from a year living in Munich.
So it's a Mk 6 GTi with 18" Monza's, Bi Xeons, RNS510 with MDI interface, ACC, Winter Pack and Convenience Pack.
Here she is....

Welcome along matey :pomppomp: :happy2:]
The car looks absolutely stunning and you have some fantastic options on there, any plans to mod? :happy2:
-
Great looking car - there are quite a few of us in Berkshire so welcome along :happy2:
-
Welcome to the forum!
Myself, Dom and a few others are also from Berkshire, so we will have to arrange a gathering soon! Would love to see you're car, it looks lovely!
-
Thanks guys :happy2:, I have to say all the members rides on here look fantastic .
No mods planned at the moment, but that could well change after Christmas. Lucky enough to have a 350Z as well so that quenches the power apetite for now :jumping: :driver:.
Let me know when and where on the meet up front and I'll be there.

-
Best colour and Great choice of extra's.
Welcome along
-
Who let that mkVI in?
Only kidding. Welcome to the madhouse :happy2:
-
The car is ex-demo (front tyres need changing soon so i guess it must be run in well :signLOL: ), there are a few around the UK that were registered in May, all have similar Spec, but this one was the most competively priced.
It does have everything i wanted apart from Lux Pack and reversing camera.
Hoped to sneek under the radar in since there are other VAG units on here as well

Welcome, mk6 just look better and better love it in red. ACC is a brilliant option, gives you sooo much more confidence when driving hard... Oh yeah yours looks good too :happy2:
-
welcome to the site. car looks great.
-
Very nice, nice to see a mk6 for once! dont see any round here at the mo.
I have a Q for you, with you having Xenon's what bit lights up as the DRL's? I know the halogen cars use a lower powered main beam.
Also, in general about the mk6 odd how the removed the bump strips - keep away from any close parking spaces!!
-
The doors look a little lost without them don't they?
-
I know Toyota dont put them on the Verso anymore but they are .. you guessed it an option!
-
Haha gutted!
-
@ Pauli - I'm very impressed with the ACC the 3 modes are very distinctive, the comfort mode is great for a long motorway run, irons out all the imperfections in the road surface but the car does not wallow around either. Sport selected the rest of the time though .
Neg - The DRL's seem to operate in the way you describe for the halogen bulbed cars. Will check the manual tonight and post if any different.
The deletion of the bump strips on the doors has removed one point where dirt could get captured, but I will be parking as far from other vehicles as possible

i do that, i mostly park over two spaces away from the whatever store it is.
I got a ticket for doing that last week, but i dont really mind!
i was telling my mum who was giving it the "you shouldnt have parked like that, its cost you £30 now"
then i proceeded to point out to her at least 4 dings on each side of her pretty nice BMW coupe.
Id rather pay £30 every 6 months or so and have a ding free car!
-
Very nice well specced car you have there! :happy2:
Welcome to the nut house! :drinking:
