Title: Challenge to handy gadget builders

This is for those who have built seat inserts, foot rests and other invaluable components for our much loved Mk5s.

I'd like something that holds an iPhone 4 or 5 in the ashtray area.  Here's my brief:

It should fit in the ashtray without obstructing the 12v socket
It should accommodate an iPhone 4 or 5, preferably in a slim case
The phone would sit in landscape (but portrait, too, if possible)
The ashtray lid should close with the empty stand still inside.

At present, I prop my phone as shown below but it isn't secure enough on rough roads (or, before you say it, with a rough driver).

Good idea! I'd also be interested in this

So much so that I might invent one! I just need a replacement flap now should things not work out!
