I would like to that all that gave me some great advise on fitting the bumper
and where to trim it to fit.

I got all the screws from TPS at a cost of just £5.89.
it took me around 45 mins to remove old bumper

and around 2 hours in all to fit and trim new gti bumper
all screw holes all lined up perfect
but it was an orgininal vw gti bumper and was ready painted
in the same colour as the car.

I have orderd from the USA the 9006 to H8 conector conversion
as i did not like cutting into the wiring harnees for the fog lights.

here is a photo of my front bumper fitted
