Title: Rolling road with clutch slip?
Post by: J6JCC-GTI on August 29, 2014, 07:39:09 pm
I bought my gti a few months ago but have no idea about its past(maps etc), the dealer didn't know and I can't get in touch with the previous owner:(

All I know is that it has a 3" down pipe but that's it as far as I can see. I get clutch slip in 5th and 6th on full throttle and wondered if I can have a rolling road test with clutch slip? I'm not too bothered about getting the clutch done because I can drive it without slipping the clutch.

Cheers guys

if it slips on the dyno you will get a low bhp reading

dyno pulls are usually done in 4th, but from a low rpm so will be under hi load so will probaly slip

it will soon get worse if its slipping in 5th all the time

Yeah I know it'll need a clutch at some point:( it doesn't slip all the time, only like on the motorway if I floor it from 70-90! So I don't do that anymore haha

I'm looking into getting an induction kit, any recommendations??

Cheers:)
