Tried fitting the VZ's today and when I'm putting the stock wheel bolts on they weren't going in far enough to secure the wheel... The stock Monzas go on fine but the VZ's won't?? Any ideas
-
They should be exactly the same. There designed to fit exactly as the monzas do. Check how far they go though the alloy and compare when the wheels are off the car. Will be easier to see then.

Totally confused why they won't go on! I'll remove the wheels again later and have a look

Aftermarket wheels usually require aftermarket bolts. Were you supplied with new bolts?
They are usually tapered rather than radius bolts and usually longer to ensure enough thread goes into the hub.
loads of info on this for example http://www.taperpro.co.uk/2012/bolts.htm (http://www.taperpro.co.uk/2012/bolts.htm)

As mentioned above the VZ wheels are meant to be designed to be straight fit! The exact same wheels were fitted before but removed as 2 got bucked and were sent away to get a new set. When fitted previously the wheels went on fine albeit they were fitted with a gun...
When I'm fitting them now I'm doing it with a ratchet and when I'm putting them on the bolts feel almost fully tightened but the wheel still has slack and isn't secure at all...
I don't want to over tighten the bolts incase I cause the thread to strip etc...

Fitted all 4 wheels tonight and got a new set of problems :sad1:
When rolling at slow speeds, at points when the front wheels are rotating I can hear a squeaking noise coming from the front of the car. Almost like rubber to rubber contact. Got no ideas what's causing this?
From the rear of the car I can hear a knocking noise also. Every few seconds, not consistent...
The car doesn't make any of these noises when it's running the stock 18" Monzas
The VZ's are running stock 225/40/18 PS3's all round
I have no idea what's causing these issues and I'm at the point of cracking up :sad1:

Another thing,
When the knockings coming from the rear and I put my hand on the handbrake I can feel some sort of friction being causing from the rear wheels
