Do petrol golf gti mk5/6 have and egr and an egr cooler.
Mine has just gone but it's a diesel,£900 to fix !!

It would be cheaper to delete it

It's an engine out job on my mk6 as it's at the back,anyway the lights gone out and it's running fine .....wtf ??

No need for engine out on a mk6, just dpf off or to the side. Is a bit of a pig to do though .

Not sure on the book time but 2.0 Tdi in around 3 hours and 1.6 Tdi around 2.5 hours. There's a few variations in engines and depends on if doing all the egr pipes as well due to carbon build up so can take a bit longer.
