Hi All
Need to buy 2 new tyres not sure which one to go for ?
-
Vrendstein senssata for me love them just fitted 4 on my edition 30 and I am very pleased with them had them on my mk4 pd 130 golf they are quite and grip very well
I love them
-
Yes - I would also go with Vrendstein senssata, Thats only if you cant get Eagle F1's
-
Vreds.
-
Check the prices 1st Camskill and Tyreleader Id go for the Rainsport3 from past experience :happy2:
-
I've got Rainsport 3's on my Golf and I can't fault them
-
Used to love the Rainsport 1 and 2 on my old car in the wet, but the Goodyear Eagle F1 beats them hard in the dry and probably similar in the wet, not tried the 3 though.
Winters coming grab some winter wellies.

I have set of 17" for winter

Then, personally I'd go for the Eagle F1's or the Michelin Pilot Super Sports; around £85/£105 respectively in 225/40/18. :happy2:
-
Vredestiens :pomppomp:
-
Rainsport 3's wear fantastically quickly! Mine have lasted less than 10k
-
Vreds over Eagle F1s.... yes I've driven both..
-
I use to have F1 on mine and wear is shocking ... Killed them in 7k
-
Not sure why the Vreds have a poor Wet Grip rating compared to the others:
AS2: A
PS3: A
PSS: A
RS3: A
Vreds: C (http://www.camskill.co.uk/m61b758s134p111412/Vredestein_Tyres_Car_Vredestein_Ultrac_Sessanta_-_225_40_R18_92Y_XL_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_F_Wet_Grip%3A_C_NoiseClass%3A_1_Noise%3A_67dB)
-
The EU tyre regs are a load of poo anyway.... Eagle f1 in same size has both a and b depending on load rating. Sessantas are a far better tyre than the rainsports.
-
Hmm, not sure what to make of it really, as the tests are at least standardised and not decided by just opinion which is always flawed in comparison tests.
-
The ultrac sessanta wet grip I found to be excellent and I used to own a turbo vauxhall which is known for shocking understeer. :pomppomp:
I had 3 sets on that car.
-
I find it strange all the others have an A rating and the vReds a C then, all things being considered.
Also worth noting the Eagle's are lighter by around 2.5lb per corner for those wanting to save unsprung weight - and the fuel rating seems better on the Eagle's...
Reason I'm drilling here, is because I'm considering PSS or AS2 (again) or the vReds.
-
A lot of people have ps3's I do on my edition 30. I would of gone for the vreds again but I had Michelins on the back already
