Only when they're broken, you can change the DV every other service or something for prevention maybe but the pcv just do if it plays up.

Depends how lucky you are, could last for years

I am thinking to change both on my 08 GTI with 19000 miles . It is an imported car from Japan and while it had service history I prefer preventative measures for the cost involved :) I don't see any current issues though .

The PVC should last for a long time? When I last changed my dv is was torn from
The rubber and I think it's torn again as I can hear an air leak
Type sound

Changed my Dv couple weeks ago and was split badly
Like a different car to drive now :-)
I will be ordering a spare from vw and checking mine once a year now
