Recently my oil preassure light has come on and the warning message telling me to switch of engine, stripped the sump off it tonight and the pick up pipe, to find the pick up pipe clogged up again?? I changed this pipe 4-5months ago, i wouldnt of thought it would be so clogged so quickly?
It was clogged with what only i can described as small soot/carbon peices
There was no metal fragment at all in there. I come
Pick up the little pieces and rub them together and it just turned to like a charcoal dust.
Any ideal of what this is from?

Sorry to ask you a question instead of answering yours, I need to do mine and I have a pick up pipe, medium O ring and the sealant is that all I need? It looks like there's gasket or something but TPS were no help and I can't find any mention of one on any threads.

Yeah thats all, apart from the obvious tools
Torqs bits, 10mm socket and extension.
5mm (i think) ball headed allen key
Theres 3bolts from the gear box to the sump, allen key for them
Somebody else may chirp in if i forgot anything!
Ive used tfr to clean my sump out.
