is this the correct gateway to prevent battery drain from rcd510?

Should be fine, anything above 1K0 907 530 L should prevent battery drain on the MK6 OEM headunits. 7N0 907 530 gateways are the newer generation canbus' and are known to work on the MK5 Golf.
