Title: Engine sounds like its pulsing on idle..

As titled really. The idle doesn't appear to be surging or moving much on the needle but sounds like its pulsing on idle as if the idle is too low.

Seems to sound ok when a few revs are given.

Any input would be great. Also like to mention it has had a recent major service about a month ago.

Ok today the revs have started surging and hovering a bit above 1000 rpm at the end of my journey to work today

Have also checked the pcv by means of pulling the dipstick out to check it runs lumpy and it does that fine.

Change the PVC mate
I did the dipstick test was fine, but I changed it and car running fine now.
