Title: Clutch advise needed please !!
Post by: tommy_d on September 05, 2014, 07:39:29 pm
Hi all,

I have an Ed30 with around 59k on the clock, when i bought the car it had a stage 1 custom map from a company i have not heard of.

I took to a local tuning garage to get it swapped for a Revo Stg1 map, When they road tested the car they told me the clutch was slipping slightly and it needed replacing.

I have looked into what clutch to buy and replace. the options i have are an organic sachs clutch with dual mass flywheel or a full stage 2 clutch with single mass flywheel which will take upto
517ftlb of torque.

i am thinking about going for the full stage 2 kit but i was wondering does anyone on here run a single mass ? and what are people thoughts on running a single mass?

any help of advice would be greatly appreciated.

What stage are you planning the Eddy too?

I've a Organic Helix clutch on my Stage2+ Eddy and had a new OEM DMF fitted at the same time.

^^^^ It will be fine.

Mine is happy as Larry at 380ft lb torque and has been higher. Contact Alex at AKSTuning about the Helix clutch, with or without a DMF or SMF. He has (maybe still is) running a GB on them at a great price.

Here you go, have a read......

more than happy with the helix from Alex now
