Title: Wheel colour
Post by: Joshryan on September 07, 2014, 01:43:30 pm
Thinking of changing the colour of my standard monzas as il be using them as winter wheels for the time being. Any suggestions thinking black but I don't know if they'll suit reflex silver!

How about anthracite or gunmetal grey?

Personally I'd stay silver or go different like a matte bronze like my rota grids
Everybody on this forum says anthracite or black and on a flat faced wheel like monza's they lose all the detail and it's just boring but that's just my opinion

Car looks good btw sitting really nice

I'd detail them with a nice amount of sealant and then plastidip them black for winter, if by the spring you've had enough of the colour just pull it all off - if you like it, have them sprayed professionally.

I was on the same road and wanted to do Plastidip anthracite grey , but decided to stay the same color after a month of thinking as the silver and a nice sealant i used  with my white car kept the look nice but original

I think black wheels look ok until the wheel gets curbed or the paint chips off... Look awful then.
At least silver or dark grey don't show up scrapes or chips so much

I know I am biased because I have them, but smoked chrome can be a great look. However I've not seen them on a silver car before, so I don't know how it would look.
