Title: Air suspension vs static
Post by: jamiemx1 on September 07, 2014, 02:03:01 pm
Iv just recently got air suspension , I'm running golf mk4 airlift performance front struts as iv the 50mm mk5 model and airlift don't make them for a mk5 but the mk4 were as good as a straight fit. In running airlift double bellow rear bags , iv the front anti roll bar out as required . My kit is 2 way as it's custom management . Now here's my question , sense iv got air suspension it's been a pain in the a** , it handle like a boat no comparison at all to static , and I love driving low but last night a bust a arch due to driving low because if the 2 way any but of a corner and the whole body rolls ridiculously , I was going to buy v2 management and go 4 way but after last night I'm not so sure , can anyone shed some light on this ? If I go v2 will the handle improve to near static with minimum body roll or what's yer opinions , aswell any advice about v2 vs switch speed ? thanks

I'm pretty sure you can get air performance bits which are apparently better than coilover kits on some tests I've watched.. I will try find the link and post it up when I do and it might give some insight to your air decisions
