Those who have fitter the half inch wider BBS VZs to there Golfs did any one go up to a 235 width tyre ? .just to offer a little rim protection or has everyone stuck with the 225
Would I be causing any rubbing issues if I was to go that way with VZs TIA

I had 225's fitted on mine with no problems.

225 are fine on my VZ's, offer as much protection to the 8" as the 7.5", protection is pretty limited TBH with any rim protection tyres. My tyres are Goodyear Eagle F1 which have a pretty wide lip too.
225 on my VZ's.....

225s for me... Slight bit of stretch on top of the tyre wall and a bit of protection near the rim...
(But let's face it, if your kissing that curb there going to get scuffed the tyre isn't going to do much)
Go for the 225s and keep your eyes on them mirrors..!!
