Its a re-branded ITG or Evoms iirc, most of VWR's stuff is re-branded or has their logo sprayed on and an extortionate price tag attatched.

Being an enclosed intake, they're quieter than open filters (like EVOMS ir ITG). I personally will be going for an enclosed intake like the VW Racing one as I prefer a quieter engine on heavy acceleration. The EVOMS kit brand new, with a turbo heat shield, is just under £300 if you speak to Mandy on this forum (see traders sales section).

To buy this kit brand new is  :signLOL:

It's a rebranded ITG.

If you pick up for a good price then go for it.

Do the vwr intake fit k03 and k04?  If so what's the fitment difference?

It can cater for both, the difference I believe is the pipe that houses the MAF sensor, the K04 version has the extra feed that links to the DV at the front of the engine, the K03 hasn't got this feature.

I have a VWR intake and as they say it could be a re badged ITG one but if you can find one of them that's an enclosed filter your doing better than me, because I couldn't find one for love nor money..!!

I didn't go for other filters as I'm not a fan of the noise of the open ones..

The build and fit of the VWR one is as expected.. Quality...!!!

I like the noise, you can really hear the turbo through it and you do get a flutter when letting off...
Next mod is a bigger head shield over the manifold and some heat reflective tape on the intake pipe, as it draws cold air from the front grill rather than having to pipe up to an open filter to stop it sucking in hot engine bay air, it's a win for me ..!!!

But like every thing on here, it's different strokes for different folks.. But it suits me and I like it..
