Good bye old faithful Pirelli, how I loved your ride, but after 4 years of faultless driving (and not to mention a change in my company car scheme!) meant it was time to say farewell  and ....

There starting to grow on me! Just needs a wheel change
-
Beautiful car!
Which wheels are Revo using on their R? They seem to set it off very nicely. Are they VWR or Team Dynamics? 18"/19"?

Thanks! Your R looks incredible too, I'd spend a long time choosing between Lapiz and Black

Must admit the wheels took some time to grow on me, but I'm kinda' like them now - though 19" version as per the VW publicity shots would have been even better
Anyway here's a close up - not that I'm trying to convince anyone of course

I prefer your Pirelli. :signLOL:

A dream motor but the Gti looks far better from the front.
Just saying
-
Maybe something to think about, changing the wheels. This was in Australia

those were 19" wheels, which are unavailable to us. And its one case which we don't know the full story about. No cases whatsoever with this wheel have been reported since.
-
Ahhh right :happy2:
-
Yikes, that does look nasty, what was involved though?
-
Someone on clubgti had to have the wheels on his mk7 gti swapped due to showing signs of failure

If I'm honest the front is the only thing that lets the R down imho; they should have done something with the grill to make it stand out more, perhaps some more chrome or a bigger R maybe as it looks too much like the standard Golf from a distance. I also thought it should have had 19" Cadiz wheels at standard (like our European chums) though on second thoughts havng seen the thread showing one that appears to have disintegrated I think I'll stick with my 18 inchers....

Stunning
