Title: Help valuing
Post by: TForrest94 on September 11, 2014, 02:24:40 pm
During a late night internet search I've found an edition 30 which ticks a lot of my boxes if not all of them but need my car sold before I can make an offer rough spec below

2005 lazer blue GTi manual
88,000 miles
Highline dash
Full heated leather interior
Sunroof
Xenons & fogs
Winter pack
Lux pack
Cruise control retro fit
(Came high spec'd only thing I'm aware it's missing are multi function steering and reversing sensors)
Sat nav unit & 6 cd arm rest

Upgrades:
Kenwood dnx521 DAB & Sat nav (original head unit to be included in sale)
Colour coded side skirts and rear bumper
H and r lowering springs 30mm
Team dynamics imola alloys (two need refurb)
Boot pop mod
Mk6 rear boot badge
Open fog grills
Neuspeed cold air intake
Rev g dv
Stage 1 amd tune to 250 (since fixed boost leak so should be higher)
42dd stealth catch can to fix pcv issue
Full led interior
Miltek turbo back exhaust ( if I can get the car I'm after)

I need this sold rather sharpies so would be willing to make some compromise on price as long as it's not taking the p*ss

Cheers in advance guys
Tommy

Maybe better advertising it in the correct section?

It's not a for sale more of an opinion on valuing as I don't know where I stand

It will be transferred over when I know a rough price

Sorry for the confusion

STD in good condition with that spec I would have thought about 7k so with mods probably 7.5 - 8k? Personally I wouldn't take less that 7k for that car providing good service history, decent MOT and tax left ect, probably more like £7750, depends on situation though.

Tax and mot till April 30th 2015 so 8ish months
From records I have it's missed one service the year before me purchasing, was serviced by the ford garage I purchased the vehicle from but I re serviced personally for piece of mind and serviced again 10 months later using Mobil 1 oil

No other history came with the vehicle as it was purchased from a gaarage but I already have a folder full of receipts from my ownership

Including cam belt water pump carried out last year

Personally I would ask about £8250 and maybe accept around £7750+ , I paid £6450 (from a dealer) for an 05 plate 87k same spec as yours but with factory nav 18" wheels and no tax about a year ago. Have a little look at what others have sold for in the past on here and get a few other opinions but I think that's reasonable. Good luck  :happy2:

From October 1st you can't sell the tax on with the car, you'll need to apply for a refund and the new owner will have to tax it.

I think you will find that he can sell it with the tax on it is has a tax disc on it and he has paid up . Once the new non tax disc system is fully up and running he won't , but for peoples still with discs , they can .
