Hey Guys
Would anyone know, if another clutch would fit with the southbend stage 2 kit, with singlemass flywheel & slave cylinder ?
Could I get away with just replacing the clutch?
For example: http://www.sachsperformance.com/Sachs-Performance-Clutch-Powerclutch/VW/VW-Golf-V-1K1-10-03-%3E/2-0-GTI-169-kW-;-BYD-;-09/2006/Clutch-Disc-Racing::50.html

Helix Clutches Group Buy
It's about time we ran a group buy on the popular Helix clutches. Many forum members already have a version of the Helix fitted into their cars, and love them. We can do the best deals on the dual mass setups that are supplied with a brand new dual mass. Currently tested the organic version to over 420 LBFT of torque with no slip.
Helix Organic Clutch Kit with New dual mass flywheel, slave and bolts - Retail is over £880! Group buy price - £750
Helix Organic Single Mass Kit with lightweight flywheel, slave and bolts - Retail is £994.73 - Group buy price - £895
Helix 6 Paddle Single Mass Kit with lightweight flywheel, slave and bolts - Retail is £1071.32 - Group buy price - £960
These kits will fit all MK5 Golf GTi's, ED30's, Cupra etc with the TFSi engines. If you need an uprated clutch for anything else then just ask.
Shipping is £15. Fitting would usually be £240, but knocking that down to £200.
From what I gather, southbend seem to be using sachs parts and painting parts of them red, lol.
Or would a full new kit be required ?
Mines seems to slipping away !
Thanks

Wouldn't go for a paddle clutch TBH. They're gash and for daily driving very bitey and wear fast in traffic.

Ummm Yeah i get what you mean...
Would a Helix Organic Single Mass work ? as it would be just a clutch replacement ?

So how has the paddle in the vRS lasted 40K?
:P

You would need a new flywheel if you wanted to change from the SB.

So a full kit would be needed?
Could you recommend a kit to go with, something that is not noisey, very little to no chatter and driveable ?
and will last longer than 10-15k miles of driving, unlike the silent southbend stage two, that was not silent and didnt last with power under what they recommended it would ?
