Any photos?
Cheers.

I changed mine last week and what a difference they make well worth getting then! :happy2:
-
Where did you get them from? Any ebay links and before/after pictures?
-
I would recommend getting the new full units rather than just putting led bulbs in. Not sure if iv got a pic of mine anywhere
-

What do you mean by unit? Why would you recommend that as appose to just swapping the bulbs?
Thanks
-
Nice any better pics?

Like the look of these  Do you have to strip the mirror unit down to fit them ? Also do they come with a resistor pack or is it built in... Ah just noticed the ad say's MK5 ... or are the MK6 one's the same
-
To change them you push the mirror the wrong way and out pops a tiny screw hole to undo them. Its plug and play with no errors
-
My car oesnt have puddle lights, can these be retrofitted?

Great thanks for the info... trigger pulled :happy2:
-
How do you actually change them ?

They can be retrofitted but you will need the mirrors and controllers, guy on here called EddieNL may be able to help if you drop him a PM.
-
How about a ED30. Do I need to get the dremel out?
So do they plug and play and then need a recode?
-
My car never had the puddles fitted originally but they worked with just the coding. Cant tell if they will work until you plug them in though

So when you remove the cover did you have an empty socket so it's just plug and play?
Had to code through vcds yes?

I bought replacement mirrors with the puddle lights in them and just coded them in

Usually the wing mirror folds into the car, towards the window?
To get at the puddle light underneath, you push it towards the wing
Like this:

This is if you have the puddles existing in your mirrors obviously. If you dont you need to either dremel the space out and connect them or buy some mirrors with the puddle light in
-
what type of bulb in needed??
-
Standard puddle light is just a normal 501 bulb.
Can either fit an led 501 or go for full led unit.
I bought full unit. Cars now like blackpool illuminations at night now :happy2:

will these fit a golf R mk6?
thanks
-
No, mk6 have a different shape puddle light.
You need something like this: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/A-pair-Direct-Fit-White-LED-Under-Side-Mirror-Puddle-Lights-For-VW-GTi-Golf-MK6/2047864209.html (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/A-pair-Direct-Fit-White-LED-Under-Side-Mirror-Puddle-Lights-For-VW-GTi-Golf-MK6/2047864209.html)

I've bought some puddle lights from ebay (270994492333) and for some reason I can't seem to fit all the cabling back in as there is a little bit extra, has anyone else had this problem? I have the puddle lights already fitted in the mirrors and they are the electric heated ones.
-
I had the same problem with the ones from aliexpress.
You can cut the plug off and join the wires together from inside the wing mirror housing, there's black line on the wires to join, worked ok for me.
-
i managed to fold the wires a bit and tuck it all back in, not alot of room tho
-
Yeah it looked like there was no way the wires would fold back in that tight space, but they did!
-
All fitted had to cut the wires and just wire them together and wrap in electrical tape all working now
