Title: R32 on ebay
Post by: Jackdpub on September 18, 2014, 01:08:44 pm
Hi, I'm looking to buy a mk5 gti or r32 and came across a nice looking r32 on eBay. I've always had st220's in the past so don't know too much about the r32's so if anyone could give me any pointers on what to look for or even have a look at the ad and let me know what they think I would realy appreciate it. It is high mileage (162k) but seems to have been well looked after. The listing number is 281439770376.
Thanks
Dave

Agreed does look clean for a high mileage .:R32 but personally i'd rather a lower mileage example. If you're looking for DSG models make sure the DSG has been serviced regularly as it's not cheap to replace. GLWYS! :drinking:

Hi, thanks for the info I will check about the gearbox. I would prefer one with lower mileage but struggling to find one in my price range

What's your budget for one?

Hi, that's a bit out of my budget, I've got around £6500 to spend, was looking for a 5 door gti when I saw the r32. I had not searched for r32's as I thought they would be out of my price range.

You'll be struggling to get a half decent one for that money. If you run into problems with them  then you're looking at big repair bills. I'd stick with a GTI or wait until you have more money to spend. R32's are nice but an utter ball-ache when they go wrong.

Ok I was thinking that myself it's just I happend to see this one in my price range which looked clean and seem to have had a lot of the common problems done already. Thanks for your help.

The one I have for sale is proper nice, it'll be a lot nicer than the 160k car on eBay.

I could do with it gone aswell so I'd take a good offer, would be a cheapish car for someone..
