Title: Knocking noise issue & Key issues
Post by: Deago on September 20, 2014, 05:31:40 pm
Having a knocking noise that wasn't initially very bad, had it in at Regal in southampton to have suspension adjusted and asked them to take a look whilst they were there, said they couldn't find anything wrong, may be the bushes but not worth doing as everything looked safe and sound, and it was intermittent. Since the noise is now occurring constantly, on all sorts of bumps, it was previously just now and then over big bumps. I can only describe it as a knocking noise or something failing against something else.

I hadn't changed anything in my setup previous to the noise coming about, and it just seems to have got worse, so maybe something has completely perished now? Bushes? Ball joint? drop link? The only thing that had changed recently on the car was the wheels, it is nothing to do with them, they aren't rubbing or hitting anything.

Problem number 2!

Key seemed to die, only works in the door now, even though the light is still working on the key, and i tried a different battery anyway. Also when in the car driving, only drivers side window button works, to do passenger you have to lean to that side, and the double click to make then auto up or down doesn't work at all.

So not ideal

Any ideas?  :popcornsoda:

Knocking COULD be steering rack related :(

Point2 - Let me know if you want a scan.

I had a knocking noise which was my draft shafts, had them replaced and the noise went away :)

:(( need to get it looked at when i'm on holiday.

Luckily issue 2 was something silly and overlooked. Fuse had become loose. Don't know why i didn't look at that first, less slamming of the door

Yeah im worried its more than the odd bush as when it wasn't so bad they said the bushes looked fine
