I understand they are rare is there any owners on here? :driver: :congrats:
-
Yes there's a fair few of your Pirelli brethren on the forum. :happy2:
-
Wife has one but will be appearing in the for sale section tomorrow to make way for it's replacement
Marmite to some but rare and look stunning in the flesh
-
Well I may be buying one to replace my standard GTI, I've never seen one in fresh before but i do like the seats and love the wheels and love the fact they are so rare, I just hope its a nice jump up from my current Golf and I'll be looking forward to 300hp+ :driver:
Is there anything I should look for when viewing one?

Another owner here :happy2:
Don't think there's anything particular to the Pirelli to look out for compared to the other GTI's. The main problems will be the Pirelli specific parts - I believe various bits of interior trim are now unavailable and as I've found out recently getting the wheels refurbed close to the original colour is a nightmare! I've ended up going a few shades darker which looks good against my silver car. So just make sure any of the Pirelli specific bits are in good condition and check out some of the general buyers guides.

lovely car and almost identical to the ED30. The seats are nice as the microfibre material keeps you in place well and is not cold in the winter or hot in the summer. same options available as other GTi's so it is really only the wheels and seats that stand it apart from ED30's
I believe only 224 made it to the UK so you are unlikely to see many about

their rarity is linked primarily to the economic climate in 2008, VW UK ended up registering a load of them which had Nav but little else in the way of options
the Pirelli centre caps suffer from white work and will knock you back £15 a corner
A1 wheels in Wolverhampton do OE silver, I've had the set on the car and a spare set refurbed by them in the last few weeks

I've just put a deposit down on a mint Pirelli picking her up Saturday.
I did think about interior bits being difficult to get hold of but then I've never had to replace trim on my current GTI so I'm holding will be fine nutey.
I do love the seats gtipirelli definatley marmite to some but I really like them I think there a little different.
Wigit its got Sat Nav yes but it hasn't got parking sensors but I'm not too bothered about really. All the wheels have been refurbished and new Pirelli center cap with new Pirelli tyres so I won't have any worries there for a while.
I can not wait to pick her up!!!
Thanks for the replies!
