Title: anyone know this? need fast help!

I need to change the third break light as it's not working and the car is 05 gti dsg if that helps. I got a OEM break lamp from VW and just need to change it but i can't se how?? seen a video when they break the lamp but cant see how that will help and even seen a clip when a guy puts a screwdriver behind the light and pops 2 clips but mine dont have these clips :O??

but how do this sitts? as i cant see if he screws it back on or just pop it in place?

You are supposed to remove the rear spoiler...which can break apart(the spoiler) when done. The screws holding on to the 3rd light are only accessible from the inside of the spoiler. When the new light is mounted, and the old adhesive is removed, you need to use adhesive to reattach the spoiler. Mine has been removed three times and the spoiler broke once.

soo i just need to push the new one in place?

Yeah, new one will just push in and stay there ok. I did use a bit of clear silicon around the edges just to be safe though  :happy2:

do i need to remove the old metal screws that will be left from the old one? or do i need to remove them and just push the new one in without the screws?? :scared:

yes remove the old screws they are in slots and slide up and out don't drop them they rattle , when you fit the new one the top front slips in first then the back clicks into place

Yarp, as above. Just chuck the old screws away, they are of no use.
