Title: Genuine Spark Plugs 06H905611 (Bosch) vs 06H905611A (NGK)
Post by: toms85 on September 28, 2014, 12:07:57 pm
Hi

I want to replace the plugs in my BWA 2.0 TFSI - ETKA lists 06H905611 (Bosch) with 06H905611A (NGK) as an alternative.

Looking through the the service history on my car it had 06H905611A NGK's fitted 50k ago. I'd prefer to fit the Bosch - is it OK to switch between the two brands? From what I've read the Bosch plugs seem to be more favoured. I've also read reports that switching brands have caused misfires as the engine is used to one brand .. sounds like BS to me but thought I'd check if anyone has experienced this!

Thanks

I replaced the original Bosch with those NGK. I've not had the slightest problem with either brand. Mine is BWA engine too.

Will this apply to an AXX aswell?

That's good to know - thanks.

Those plugs are listed for AXX too on ETKA so I would assume so!
