Title: Induction Kit For A Diesel
Post by: shaunnorris7 on September 30, 2014, 09:28:53 am
Has anyone fitted an induction kit on there TDI??

If so, which kit works best?

Or is it best not to touch it??

Thanks in advance.

Leave them stock they give no benefit.

Even for petrol engines they don't give any benefit most of the times, if not worse results than OEM.

Just check these videos:

Just to clarify, on the GTI a decent intake gives 15-20bhp  :happy2:

I believe you, but I think you'll agree that one has to choose wisely what to buy. I'd get one from APR or from VWR if I had a GTI, for instance.

I have a k&n panel filter in my 140 sport, had it for 5 years, so easily paid for itself over standard filters in this time,

Neither of which are any good!!

Revo, ITG or Evoms are the best ones for performance. Think the VWR one is the weird enclosed carbon one.

I have no data to backup my statement, I was just going for brands that I trust, just like Revo. If you're right, I stand corrected.

For my engine I know my OEM filter is enough for the power it has.
