Post by: Salt_258 on October 03, 2014, 09:40:04 pm
As per title has anyone brought a grill off eBay ? The ones without holes are they gd quality. ?

Has anyone used there original and filled the holes ? Pics and reviews would be really grateful

I filled mine with a Wurth plastic repair, smoothed it down and sprayed matte black. I never even considered purposely buying one, not when it's so easy to do yourself!

It would probably cost the same or very near to get the original one done at a body shop then you won't have another grill lying round in the garage either.. Or have a go at it yourself and if you mess it up.. Take it to a body shop or buy the ebay one. Can't hurt to have a go can it

Sorry for digging up an old thread but you're damned if you do and damned if you dont!

Has anybody had any further experience with the eBay grille's? Looking at the one below - £30-ish against the OEM which is £140-ish?!

On this subject then, has anyone bought a full new set of grills from eBay that look OEM and fit well?

I was about to buy plastidip for the grills and also try to get the red strip looking a bit better, but if the price of a new set isn't too much then I may just buy new.  Any links would be great.   :happy2:

I bought a set of open fog grills and they were a tiny bit big, only a problem when removing, otherwise looked alright, I removed them though because no backing piece to stop stuff flying in.
