Hi guys,

This might be a very silly question but this is the first turbo car I've had, I have heard a lot about diverter valves splitting. I'm getting a loud whistle between 2-3k revs, the boost gauge isn't showing it's boosting. Mines the GT170 model... Could anyone tell me if this is normal? It's covered 98k miles, I don't have any receipts to show it being replaced, might it be worth getting done anyway?

Hey I wrote that guide!! Nice to see its being used.

An update on mine. Only replaced it. Boost was incredible. Whistle was gone.

2 weeks later whistle is back. Removed dv and checked but no leaks.

No codes to show boost leak! Going to get one of those p3 boost gauges to see how I'm boosting.

Vw told me if its split that they'll give me a new one and fit it themselves
