Title: Tax Disc Holder - Wire??

Hi All,

Does anybody know why this tax disc holder has a cable coming out of it? Is it safe to remove? Or is it linked to the Bury kit (which is currently out of use)?

It says Vodafone on it, perhaps that's a clue..?

That's the antenna for the handsfree kit. They were very average back when they were used, and I doubt they're any better having been fitted on the windscreen for a few years.

Thanks - I was looking forward to having no tax disc holder!! Not sure if it's worth the hassle trying to disconnect the wire.

Any idea how it's been wired? Would the dash have been removed?

if you are not using the phone kit, just cut the cable off and use something like a lolly pop stick to shove it in to the trim, the pressure from the trim will keep it in place. Remove the holder. I use Fast Glass cleaner to clean off the residue.

Pulled the image from the web, unfortunately after trying a variety of biscuits in my tax holder nothing fit, so into the glovebox it went  :happy2:
