Title: Fitting alloy BKD Inlet Manifold to a BMN 170 - part numbers
Post by: Degudodger on October 11, 2014, 08:14:09 pm
Going to be replacing the plastic inlet manifold on my 2.0 TDI 170 for a alloy manifold off a BKD 2.0 140 and need a couple of part numbers :)

Manifold - Any changes in the different iterations of 03G129713 i should be aware of?
Gasket - 03G129717 (for alloy head)
Bolts - Can i reuse the existing bolts?

From 2006 the gasket and manifold are different as they have suffix letters

Manifold requires AF

Gasket requires  D

As for the bolts ok to reuse torque valve 20 NM

The inlet flaps found in the plastic manifold found on the BMN engine unto 2008 (i believe) fail, the alloy manifold on the BKD fits the BMN and does not have flaps :)

Plus i need to clean my manifold.
