VOLKSWAGEN GOLF R Petrol Hatchback manual
2.0TFSi R 300 3dr
Our Price
£148.99
per month
Mate at work has just ordered one, his is just over £200 a month for DSG. The above price is manual in Tornado Red, pay £15.00 extra pcm for Candy White. 2 yr lease 10,000 miles p/a 6p a mile you go over.
Check out Solent Leasing in Shropshire for the deal
-
crazy price but it is plus VAT and £2000 down
-
Was looking at this deal the other day, works out about £230 a month inc. deposit / VAT / fees, cheap way to get into the 7R.
Are the 18inch Monzas similar ET to the 7R rims?
-
Red? manual? Hmmm.
Its says, £178.79 for Personal Contract hire.
£2000 deposite over 24 months would equate to £83.33 so it will cost me £250 a month.
Never financed a car in my life, what's the catch.......
-
does make you wonder how they are making money from it
-
Nothing faster than a courtesy / rental / lease car

VWFS recently relaxed their rules on PCH with the Golf. Had to be BCH before.
-

Probably aren't Ed. Must be a reason they are leasing all these R's at giveaway prices.
Can only imagine the number of these that will be available second hand in 2 years time, prices won't be high for a poverty spec 3 dr manual in a standard solid colour.
-
So is there any major catches with these deals? other than having to have a £2k deposit every time.
-
My mate has had a nissan and a bmw on pcp with no catches,I'd say there making money look what they get from you over 2 years then you hand back a perfect r with 20 k miles it's then sold for a good price on hire purchase and vw get rid of loads of stock in process.
-
I assume vw are sitting on loads of stock or haven't got enough future orders, so they end up with cash tied up. By leasing they move the stock, get some income= better than no income, people see more on the road and decide to buy. They haven't got to "make money out of it" exactly...maybe
-
Just sent my mate this deal and he's already phoned in past and said by the end if the call it was closer to 300 per month, are you sure it's a legit price then???
-
The prices are legit. All the deals are being brokered via 3rd parties through VWFS. It will be closer to £300 if you add unnecessary extras and loads of options.
-
Be interesting to see what delivery time they are quoting on these,Vw dealer quoted me January February next year!!
That's if I`m lucky more likely delivery for March.......saying that seeing these deals I`m going to phone tomorrow!!!
-
March at the earliest. I ordered 1st Sep and I'm being told build week 09 for my car.
-
Asked for a call back if those prices are legit I'm punting the 30 and the bits, apr will remap and remove the map for services happy days :driver:
-
It's funny, because it's true..... (http://sniffpetrol.com/2014/10/16/everyone-on-the-internet-has-a-golf-r/#.VD-ELR-9LCR)
-
Got there email it's 2400 down and 180 per month for a basic which is still pretty decent
-
bargain
-
what about the 3-4 year deals, any info on them?
-
Iv requested a quote paying lower deposit and higher monthly payments fire them an email

will this not invalidate your insurance? Cant mod a lease car surely...
In terms of why they are doing it it is as per your comments and those of Paul - they get a load of stock back in pre registered in 2 years time with only 20k on the clock and can then sell them on at reasonable prices.
Dont forget the R is a very niche car - chavs cant afford them and those executives/self employed people who can afford to lease £30k+ cars aspire to a better car than a golf - they want a 4x4, merc, 530d etc etc
I think i would be very tempted accept not got time to strip the eddie as just bought new house in need of serious renovation and if im being honest i need a bigger car than a Golf next

How do APR overcome the TD1 flag which will run home and tell Mum as soon as it's plugged in at VW?

they don't. TD1 flag inevitable
-
was ist das TD1 flag you talk of der freund?
-
VAG have introduced a warranty flag, called TD1.
When your car is taken to stealers for service and plugged into VAS, it will bescanned and if there is ANY modifications/chip/performance software detected, your info is sent to the main server and your car will be flagged 'TD1" meaning modified ECU/suspension/shifter/exhaust.
They can use this as a basis for denying any warranty claim.

Nice one Jas, i was at Tesco Leyland this week thought i might have spotted you fitting someones boot pop but could not see you
-
Is there any modifications that are approved (or allowed) while leasing a VW?
-
How many other people saw this topic and straight away logged onto VW website to build a car and get a price...?
I got a letter off VW yesterday to say they'd buy my car off me for top dollar if I choose another VW. Almost tempting but even though the R is a beastly amount of power I still think I prefer the look of the GTI.
-
As far as I'm led to believe the flag is only present when the apr map is loaded once they flash it back to stock it's not counted I'll see if I can find where I read it
-
Do they take the deposit and sit on it till March?

Deposit is taken upon delivery and counts as your first monthly payment :happy2:
-
The APR software is now fully reversible back to stock without detection. No more TD1 flags. Get more power out of your car without the stress of voiding your warranty.

/party pooper.
If VW look hard enough, they'll find it. Same with ever other tuner.

March at the earliest. I ordered 1st Sep and I'm being told build week 09 for my car.
What sort of deal did you get from VW ?
I`m negotiating just now and trying to get a good deal.
Phoned about the lease deal today...not for me poverty spec cars once you add comfortable options, you`re better off at VW :happy2:
-
This looked a good deal but put some extras on her and the cost goes up and up. It seems also they have all gone. Ps must be to do with the R 400 COMING OUT SOON ??????.

Around 11% discount. They were within £600 of the drive the deal offer which I was happy with.

Which will have absolutely no impact on the R.

Whats the score on modding?
They Blow up...don't bother :signLOL: :innocent:
-
Hahaha im aware. I left a post yesterday about it. I mean just generally? Ha
-
You don't own the car, so no, you can't mod it.
-
You don't own the car, so no, you can't mod it.
That is what puts me off, some great deals can be had if you can resist modifying it though. Also there seem to be a lot of these on the road and many more to come I imagine, see 2 TR ones within 5 mins the other day. Personally, I prefer to own a car (that not everyone has) and be able to throw whatever mods you like on it without having to worry.
-
That's why I'm buying mine instead. Slightly higher deposit, but for the options I have on my car the p/m cost is only a tiny bit higher.
-
Im going to buy a R400 if price is right  gaurantee not many people have them as limited build numbers etc! Maybe even almost an investment
-
cant see much change out of 40-45k
-
R420 or 440 or whatever it will be now (rumours say the next appearance will have more power) but it will be M2 money. Probably quicker than the M2 though!!

The quoted figures for the R400 are quicker to 60 than the M2/M3/M4/M5 anyway so got knows what it be capable of if they make it even quicker  0-60 in 3.9 secs is a very very quick out the factory motor and in my oppinion will be very special car, R400 over any Bmw for me :driver:
Just hope its not a silly price otherwise no chance she let me get one :driver:
-
The great deal is 3 door manual, put anything else on it and watch the monthlies climb.
-
Bare minimum id want sat nav and DSG and 19" wheels
