Title: Blue tinted window glass help

bought a golf gti few weeks ago look it!

but noticed few weeks after in the rain the rear passenger window (5dr) is tinted green where rest of car is blue..

can anyone help me with part numbers or tint codes differences as its hard to tell colour in online pics

any help would be gratful

also how hard is it to replace rear door glasses??

Early 2005 cars were blue tint. Apparently VW changed in 2006 to green tint because it was cheaper.

Now you can't actually buy the sought after "blue glass" I believe.

You're only chance is to find one in a scrap yard I'm afraid.

do you have any images of this? (green tint) its something I've not even realised on the later models.

Post by: chris1440 on October 18, 2014, 11:43:15 am: I had my windscreen replaced on my 2005 gti a few weeks back and they made a point of checking that mine was a blue tint not green. He said most gti's are green. Luckily for me he had a nice blue tinted windscreen for me :-)
