As above guys, my car is a 2005 GTI with non MFSW from factory but I know of an Edition 30 MFSW for sale will it fit and work straight away or does it require any other parts/ modules ect? Cheers

Yes it will work, will require some coding too. Can't remember if you'll need another controller though, contact @Eddie-NL (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=2345) for a definitive answer.

if I'm right, you may need a new slip ring, controller and then the new steering wheel, then some coding i believe.
Think this will be my next mod too then after that, i will move onto the exterior.. god help me on this slippery slope haha

I'm also about to do this mod. Best thread I have found so far is this one: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/threads/mk5-mk6-paddle-shifter-or-steering-wheel-installation-part-2.2291/ (http://www.myturbodiesel.com/threads/mk5-mk6-paddle-shifter-or-steering-wheel-installation-part-2.2291/) - bit US-focussed, but gives you the general gist.
Main thing is getting it coded in right afterwards. Think I'm gonna do the swapping then take to Streetwise to get coded...
Modules are important AFAIK, especially if you want everything to talk to highline, stereo etc. - again, that thread has a lot of info.
