What is the methanol for what does it do?

You need it if you install a water meths kit on your car. The idea is to lower intake temps.

you mix the methanol 50/50 with (distilled)water

Meth - Octane boost. (imagine running 102ron instead of 99 from shell or BP)

Water - Cools the Intake temp

Also keeps valve stems clean on a direct injection engine when there's no fuel washing over them to keep them clean. And our cars can get messy in that department!  :signLOL:

Bill at Badger5 fitted it to his Cupra R and said the cleaning effect is minimal, I would like to see some more results.
