Whenever I make a biz trip to the US, the cars offered by the rental agencies are sub-par. I had a 2009 Mustang in royal blue once but it's just aint the same.
I have been checking out some rental joints that rent out GTi's, I find nothin'.
I did find SIXT (yeah, the german rental company) that offers Golf, but its not a GTi. Its either a Golf or equivalent. And that was at Heathrow.
Wanna see if you can help me out by giving me directions to car rental in the US that would rent out GTi's for several days.
Locations include Los Angeles, and Seattle.
Cheers!

I haven't seen anyone in the USA that offer GTI's for rental. Like you say the Golf is available (normally in 2.5 V6 form) from some rental companies.
Hertz in the UK used to offer the Mk5 GTI.
Hertz is the one I would normally use in the US too as you can select some nicer cars.
I rented this one for a two week business trip in Boston about 18 months ago: -

SteveP, that is a wicked Shelby convertible. :happy2:
Comparatively, mine was a lowly hardtop from Budget, a far cry from the Shelby.

you can get them from avis prestige, and the R32 and the TTs but again they are in the ~UK only :sad1:
