Hi there, been checking this forum for the last two months as I knew that my next car would be a Mk5 Golf Gti. And well on Sunday I will be picking mine up! Mk5 Golf Gti 2.0T, 2006, 76,000 miles, full service history, full years mot, Reflex Silver. Only a first year apprentice at the moment so mods will be slow, but have lots and lots of plans! Power and looks :) but for now will just be getting use to the power, my last car was a 2004 1.25 Ford Fiesta, slammed on its hoop! 73.9 to 200bhp is a fair jump, but looking forward to it!

A fellow Ford convert... I went from a fiesta to a focus and now a Golf... Certainly an expensive hobby on an Apprentice wage, doable though

Don't get me wrong love the fords, an RS next maybe ;) but yeah and I'm on really low apprentice wages as well, but I can make it work and still live with my parents so now is the time to do it! I'm only 19 but it's going to be some project I can assure you

Welcome mate looking forward to seeing some pics. Also had a few fords in the past, can't go wrong with the mk5 Gti!

Welcome to the forum, lots of good information on here and plenty knowledgeable people willing to give you hints and tips.   :happy2:

Thanks guys, ask me anything about fiestas and I can tell you! Hopefully be able to learn a lot of the golfs now

				Hiya!!

I'm also 19, from Scotland and recently bought a gti golf :)

My previous car was a 1.0 59bhp VW Up so I understand the jump in power... 59 to 230 is crazy!

Welcome! Where abouts in Scotland you from?

You will certainly notice that increase!  :happy2:
-
Welcome mate, going from a Fiesta to a Golf GTI talk about an upgrade well done. :happy2:

Cheers guys, I absolutly love it! Especially since my fiesta was the finesse so was poverty spev, manual window the lot haha, but I loved her the same.
I originally wanted an ed30 but my wages are poor so couldn't afford it sadly. And I'm from a small town just outside Perth. Are there many members from Scotland? Seen a few on my travels

And Morgen I follow you on Instagram, have done since I seen your Up! Posted on Splitter Scuffers haha

There are more and more recently! I'm further up north-east but often down in Perth!

Any pictures of the GTI yet?

I work in perth, but travel Central scotland in the van because I'm an apprentice engineer, and go to college in Edinburgh once a week so see a lot of gti's on the road! I've got a couple of photos, but here's my gti and slammed fiesta. (Hope this works, not 100% sure how to do photos on this site)

Cheers mate, yeah it's a really great upgrade to say the least, done a few wee things to it just to get the ball rolling! Time to save for bigger mods now
