Hi guys will this cruise control stalk work with my edition 30 I have a multifunctional steering wheel I plan to fit at the same time! Just wondered if this (OEM Part Number - 1K0 953 513 G) version would work with the new mfsw etc?
Thanks
Jay

Yes it'll work fine.
Cruise works without MFSW too, but check what steering wheel control module you are fitting, as some don't like retrofitted cruise, not many of them are iffy but they exist.

Thanks, the module I'm planning on fitting is 1K0953549BK
Would this work okay?
Thanks :happy2:

What other modules could I use to work with the new MFSW? (Currently non MFSW)
Thanks

The ones on that list that say highline, stick with type 2 as that's what most mk5 sliprings are

Would I need a new slip ring too? Or can the current one be used? Thanks again!

You have to physically check, or use your existing SWCM part number and compare it to that list to see what type it is

Okay thanks am I right in thinking that this would work okay with the MFSW and cruise stalk? 1K0 953 549 CH (removed from a 2010 1.4 tsi golf)
Thanks :drinking:

According to that table, I would say so. But make sure you get the G stalk, and not the older A stalk (they have different symbols on, easy to differentiate)

Yes it would be a G stalk! All sounds good to go, thanks for your help, do you know if the buttons on the new MFSW will work with a headunit: kenwood dnx521dab? (The ones Vw use now)?
