Title: Cat gone help please

Told today by the stealers that my catalyst is broken - VW price replacement at £650 + VAT!

Are there any cheaper or better options open to me folks? Car is stock 05 GTI and I plan to keep it a few years longer

For £780 i would buy a full TBE exhaust, I had an exhaust with 200 cell cat done for £675. Otherwise just get one from a scrappy and have that fitted. Or just decat downpipe/ sports cat downpipe.

Pipewerx Downpipe & sports cat (to OEM cat back) is £475 delivered.

Or. . .  There is at least 2 used exhaust systems in the for sale area of the forum for under £100  :happy2:

Surely just buy aused one from forum or ebay and take it to any exhaust garage to fit for you for few beer tokens  :happy2:

Can have mine for £70 delivered, if it helps anyone.

It currently has the Pre-Cat in place but I can remove it before sending if desired (I would personally). :happy2:
