Not a very good pic. But you don't see many new cars in Spain looking like this.

Thanks andy. I still have a lot to learn regarding polishing. I will be posting up some pics in the detailing section soon hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Unfortunately our cars have pretty hard paint so with a dual action polisher Its hard work to get the scratches/ swirls out. And impossible to get it perfect.

I think the mk5 design will stand the test of time. They will still look awesome in 15 years time.

A MK6 GTD parked behind me the other day. Just made me think i got a hell of a lot of car for the money.

The fact that you have it after 9 years doesn't really sound like much, but if you ENJOY it just as much after 9 years, says it all :happy2:.
Your car looks mint . Hope you will post a similar photo in 2023 also .

Had it for 8 months. If i had if for 9 years there would be a lot more mods.
I doubt it will look like this much longer i try my best but in a country where its totally normal to clip cars when parking its not easy.

I've noticed that when travelling abroad. In Spain people park too close to each other but the worst country I know must be Italy, where it's standard to park so close I wonder how people can leave their parking space... :surprised: And if you check, almost all cars are clipped in all corners. I rented a Ford Fiesta in La Spezia that only had a front wing clipped, but it was only like 4-6 months old.

I think Barcelona is probably as bad as Italy. Its normal to clip cars when parking no one cares. People try and get into parking spots that their car cant fit into smash into both cars then drive off.
I don't park outside my own house as it will get clipped or keyed.
Depending on where we are going (will there be parking etc) i will decide to take the golf or the beater.
I think i have OCD :signLOL:

I think you share that "quality" with many others in the forum... :ashamed:
I'm OCD with the Golf as well.
