Title: RCD510 firmware updaing?

Hi

just after a bit of advise, ive just changed to and RCD510. how do i check what firmware its running?

any tips on upgrading it?

Hold down the settings button. Menu should come up with version info.

No idea mate. The guy i bought mine off said it was running the latest firmware. If it not broke and all that.

I tried holding down the set up button but it just went into radio test mode or something like that.....

mine has just done the same, it comes up am/fm

Hold it down even longer and it should go into a second menu  :happy2:

Once you are at the AM FM screen there should be another field, which when selected gives you the information you are after. If not your firmware does not allow you to see this information. I had the same problem, but after updating my RNS510 to the latest firmware I found the selector for the system information was available. So I think you need to upgrade your firmware, since newer versions give you this function. Upgrading is easy. The trick is to get the DVD with the new firmware working in the first place.

can you pm me where you got it from. as i cant get past the am/fm screen
