Hi guys,

Gonna do an Oil + Filter change on my 05 GTI.

Can you point me in direction of which oil filter to use as I'm seeing paper ones then ones in a casing.

Paper ones. Easy way to confirm is to jack the car up, and near the front of the engine from below you'll see your oil filter housing. You'll need a tool to drain it before removing it;

You can do it without this tool but you'll get oil everywhere no matter how careful you are.
