Title: mk5 2.0 tdi 140 will gti or 170 back box fit

Just a quick question, a friend of mine has a 140 tdi golf without the exhaust cut out for the tail pipes. He has bought the gti valance, would the 170 back box or gti back box go straight on?

A mate of mine has done the same conversion and is running a GTI backbox. Think he got a standard cat back off ebay cheap and used that.

Cheers matto, so did he replace from the cat back or just the back box?

Just spoke to him and said it was just the backbox he fitted but it had to be welded on. Someone may know another solution though  :happy2:

Ive got a sleeve and clamps holding my A3 box on motor factors £10

Don't suppose you can take a picture of the underside so I can see how you did it?? or if any one else has any info? I really want to do this to mine but want to do a proper job! :innocent:
