Title: Windows up/down with remote?
Post by: Garth on November 14, 2009, 10:44:34 am
Can anyone please explain the standard functionality of this to me?

I was under the impression that you simply held down on the open/close button and the windows would go up/down as long as you held the button down (how it worked on my BMW).

I cannot get any window functions to work at all on my car using the remote.

On my Leon, and GTI before it, i just held down the unlock button to open the windows and the lock button to close them, it takes about 6 seconds for the windows to start opening/closing i think.

Holding the lock button should raise the windows and holding the unlock button should lower them.. does on mine anyway.

As clive_gti, I hold the lock or unlock button, the LED on the door card flashes 5 or 6 times and the windows start moving.

Try putting your key in the lock and then either holding it in the unlock or lock position first. If that works then try your fob.

It can be turned on/off in vagcom/vcds.

If you have a sunroof this will also close but only once the windows are fully closed.
