Can anyone help, I have a gt tdi mk5 and the engine runs fine, but on idle the engine is very juddery and lumpy, I was told it was the maf sensor and got that replaced but it has made no difference.
 what else could it be?
-
also I have disconnected battery for 30mins but didn't make any difference
anyone know what it could be?
-
Could be the dual mass flywheel?
How many miles has it covered?
-
				100k

this is exactly what it sounds like just found it on youtube
just had cambelt done and water pumper also

When was the egr valve last cleaned?

-

Used to have an A3 with the tdi engine in and mine did this badly and even used to stall. Think what i did was use aload of injector cleaner, new fuel filter and egr delete..... after that it was spot on and never did it again.

Hi it is in the garage it is NOT
 -Injector loom
 -Dirty injectors
 -Maf senor
 -EGR
 -ECU issue
 -Fuelling issue

It is becoming a mystery and is having all these different tests but still is the issue is not resolved

Does anyone know what else it could be?

PCV valve possibly need replaced? I'm sure this would cause lumpy/poor idle..

-
Are there any faults in it ?

TDIs don't have a PCV do they?

My TDI is a bit lumpy. One thing to check is the timing torsion value and injection quantities using vcds.
If injection quantities are out it could pin point the issue to a particular cylinder.
I'm about to start checking this on mine.

 no faults, they are saying

all fine starting from cold until say 2mins (maybe less) of running the lumpiness starts

Flywheel ?, usually you can feel through clutch pedal. Can often feel like a missfire almost

 nope not flywheel...

on the link that was posted to youtube, with you saying this is the noise... the comment listed below the video (on youtube) say he had a mechanic sort it out, turned out to be the timing was out on a pulley, you had your cambelt done and now suddenly a problem occurred.... I would concentrate on looking at getting your timing checked before replacing PCV, flywheel etc... I could be sadly mistaken and read all wrong! once you fixed it, post up what it was  :happy2:

				it was infectors
they were not coming up with fault codes though
 and diesel pump
someone had but petrol in it before me
