Afternoon peeps.
I've owned a GT TDI 170 since the start of the year.
Been lurking for some time and reading lots of tech info, but just thought I would say hello.
Been a VW man most of my life - had a G60 Corrado, Mk1 Golf, and Mk1 Caddy along the way.
Being nearly 30 and with a young family I wanted something respectable, comfy and with 5 doors for the little one. But fast enough to keep me entertained on my 70 mile round trip for work, as well as being economical. The Mk5 ticked all those boxes.
Would like to complete a few simple mods over time - mainly interior as there's where I spend about 15 hours a week on my commute, as well as an upgrade in power, but been focusing on keeping it well maintained and clean since ownership.

Thanks! I looked for a long time for the right spec/colour combo. Nearly bought a black one, but favoured the Grey!

Black is best :signLOL: but not to keep clean
-
A long commute everyday and living in the country and knowing how hard black cars are to keep clean is one of the reasons I bought a grey one!! :signLOL:
