Yep VW fixed price servicing
Minor service with free health check £149, mine went in last month
Major service £299

Cheaper at specialists and local garages of course just depends where you want to go

Yeah a check that aint worth the scrap of paper its written on!
Wouldn't take mine back to dealer for service even if it was free

Go to a local specialist with a good reputation that actually knows what he doing

Do it yourself mate!
I did mine and wifes last month (both mk5's) using all oem quality parts etc for a fraction of the cost of any garage and now know that absolutely everything has been done but most importantly done right!

Also changed brakes all round, Diverter valve and the cam follower on mine too all

All of the above cost me less than Vw wanted just to change the rear brakes on my Gti

I don't know whether this will help but mine is going in on Monday to a reputable specialist and I am paying £149 for a full service
