Whilst browsing ebay last weekend I thought I would do a search for a set of highline clocks I came across this set of 974,s for sale at £50 or best offer and only 30 minutes from me.
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi633.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fuu54%2FRAG29%2FFFD9CD7F-79F6-4AB1-BBD3-16B5A87CF15C.jpg&hash=b1cbed4359b65eefdf1a6937c9168c7dc492c657)
I thought why not try my luck and offered the seller £25 low and behold he accepted my offer, other than the perspex cover being slightly scratched it's definitely a steal at £25.
Like I said I love a bargain, having missed out on a MFSW previously I have been on the look out for one.
I was watching this one on also on eBay for a few days
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi633.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fuu54%2FRAG29%2F34AD7F58-DD0A-41DE-AC88-D66CDC769182.jpg&hash=a673822a8f0471ed039fe898b5cc707568a3a59b) (http://s633.photobucket.com/user/RAG29/media/34AD7F58-DD0A-41DE-AC88-D66CDC769182.jpg.html)
It was listed with a reserve price, however despite the reserve price there appeared to be minimal interest.
So I was constantly checking it, 20 seconds prior to the sale ending the highest bid was at £62, so I struck with my highest bid of £100.
So there you go a MFSW in absolutely good condition for a crazy low price.
Can anyone suggest which steering module is required, I can post the MFSW part number if needed.

The CH (1K0 953 549 CH) module is the one to go for, assuming you have the type 2 slip ring.
Also supports mk6 mfsw if you decide to swap in the future. :)

If you can get your hands on a Dremmel and polishing kit for it, I polished a set a while ago and removed most of the swirls.
Good bargin hunting! :happy2:
