Has anyone had there 18" monza's replaced under warranty due to white worm?
-
yeah i have got them done last year, you`ll have to take the car in for them to have a look at the wheels/ take pics and then get it confirmed by vw that they`ll replace them. Good Luck :happy2:
-
I hear they won't cover kerbed wheels under warranty
-
good point jay, i think they try anyway they can to get out of coughin a new set of rims up. they went as far on mine to check the numbers on the back of the wheels to make sure they were the OE`s for the car.
-
How long is the warranty?
-
iirc its just under the standard 3 years warranty :happy2:

Unlimited mileage I take it?

....Correct. Any sign of the slightest kerbing or even chipped lacqeur and VW UK will say no.

This afternoon I finished work and went into Arnold Clark VW at Linwood. Firstly I spoke to a female service advisor and told her about the corrossion on my wheels. She called a guy to ask for his expert opinion, so he came out and had a look at the wheels. There was only one that was badly corroded.
I went inside and sat down, he came back about 10 minutes later to say that he would replace all 4 alloys under warranty!!! BONUS!! So the car is booked in next Friday for a full new set of 18" Monza's :happy2:
I was shocked they are replacing all 4 because 3 of them have minor curbing, but im won't complain

Good news, H13! You got lucky. I've heard some will honour a warranty re white worm but not many.

They look great - love a happy ending. :popcornsoda:
What tyres have u got one?
-
Not sure of the make, they are just budget tyres that came with the car when I bought it.
Tyres were on my list of things to do, but all 4 are fairly new so I will leave them just now!
